Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC), in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich, officially launched its NEGOSYO 2.0 (NBSC Employees’ Growth Through Opportunities and Skills, Yielding Ownership) initiative this morning, October 26, 2026, through a Bread and Pastry Training at the Technical Skills and Development Center in Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
Spearheaded by the Auxiliary Services Division through the Income Generation Program Office (IGPO), the training runs from October 26 to 27, 2026, with two batches of participants gaining practical skills for household use or potential income-generating ventures.
The initiative aligns with the plans and programs envisioned by NBSC President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, during her candidacy for the College presidency, particularly her commitment to strengthening the College’s Income Generation Program (IGP) to promote institutional sustainability and economic empowerment.
For Dr. Ganiera, the IGP is envisioned to serve a dual purpose: generate additional resources to support the College’s operations and provide employees and students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial skills, explore livelihood ventures, and supplement their family income.

Through its partnership with TESDA and the LGU of Manolo Fortich, NBSC aims to make skills development more accessible to its community by bringing together institutional resources, technical expertise, and local government support.
The Bread and Pastry Training serves as an initial activity under NEGOSYO 2.0, with the College envisioning similar capability-building opportunities for employees and eventually students, particularly in areas with potential for livelihood development and small-scale entrepreneurship.
Through NEGOSYO 2.0, NBSC seeks to strengthen a culture of resourcefulness, innovation, and self-reliance among its people. By providing opportunities to learn practical skills and explore potential sources of additional income, the College hopes to help participants turn what they learn into meaningful opportunities for themselves and their families.
